Apple has just published abrand new version of its beta of iOS 14.5, the third of the name, it brings new functionalities to testers, particularly with regard to the application“Find My”,"Locate"in French. The latter is in fact capable of keeping trackheadphonesBeatsand other third-party devices.
This new featureimplemented by Apple within its beta obviously refers to AirTags, small trackers announced for a long time by the Apple brand's analysts, but for which no official release date has yet left Apple Park.
A long-awaited product
If the existence of the product is certain, its release for the general public still remains one of the firm's best-kept mysteries. Previous rumors had targeted March 16 as the date of the revelation, but they had no basis and were quickly swept aside by the firm's most famous analysts.
The references made to AirTags in Apple's updates are numerous and already last November the application"Locate"had seen small features appear, paving the way for the arrival of AirTags in the coming months, analysts thought at the time.
RegardingApple's latest update, iOS 14.5, it is the addition of the tab “items”,or “object” in French, which reignites debates on the upcoming arrival of AirTags. The latter is activated by default in the application and for the moment allows you to connect third-party accessories, such as Beats headphones, but it should mainly take care of AirTags, as soon as Apple has decided to offer them to the public.
Again an update of iOS and the application"Locate"should be necessary when these new products are released to make their use more intuitive.
