Updated December 14, 2022: iOS 16.2 has been available since December 13, as announced in this article. To find out everything about the update, follow our complete guide.

Currently, iOS 16.2 is in beta testing and has reached the RC stage. The RC version is generally the last trial version of the OS and precedes the release of a final general public version by a few days.

In this article, we have established the hypothesis of a release of the final version of iOS 16.2 onDecember 13 or 14with an RC beta released last week. And obviously, this is what we should expect, according to a new clue spotted by a user of the social platform Reddit in the iCloud terms and conditions of macOS 13.1 beta version RC.

See you on December 13 (if all goes well)

Tombob51 on Reddit therefore shows us that by digging into the legal text of use of macOS 13.1 RC, it is possible to see the following mention concerning iCloud:

So of course, this text in no way guarantees the release of iOS 16.2 on the date indicated. But all the same, everything suggests that this is what Apple is planning so far. On the one hand, macOS 13.1 should be released at the same time as iOS 16.2. Additionally, as we saw in our previously cited iOS 16.2 release date article, next week appears to be the best release window for the final version of iOS 16.2.

Unless there is a big surprise, the following new OS will arrive tomorrow, December 13 at 7 p.m.: macOS 13.1, iOS 16.2, iPAdOS 16.2, tvOS 16.2, watchOS 9.2.
