Update December 12, 2022: The RC beta has been available for a few days and Apple hasgave a clueregarding a potential macOS 13.1 release date of December 13. Everything therefore seems to indicate that iOS 16.2 would be released tomorrow, December 13, 2022.

Another hypothesis: Apple is offering an RC beta of iOS 16.2 this week and releasing the final version next week, on December 13 or 14.
