New M1 Macs have problems with Bluetooth connections

After the HomePod mini which suffered from wifi connection problems, and the iPhone 12 which presented defects on the screen, it is the turn of the new Macs to have an imperfection. Indeed, some users have noted that their MacBook encountered difficulties when it was necessary to connect it with Bluetooth.

The problem seems to spare MacBook Airs for the moment and would be very present on the latest generation Mac mini. In a tweet, YouTuber Patrick Tomasso was one of the first to report the problem. According to the videographer, the connection would not be permanent, which can be very disabling, particularly with a Mac mini or the use of a wireless keyboard and almost systematically.

On various forums, but also on the Reedit social network, some users have reported the same problem, their headset or keyboard which are connected via Bluetooth to the new computer from the Apple brand disconnects for no reason. If the problem here affects Bluetooth and not wifi, it remains very similar to that encountered by owners of the new HomePod mini who lose the internet connection intermittently.

Although it is impossible to know the number of devices that are affected by this problem, it nevertheless seems to be quite widespread. One of Apple's customers explained on Reddit that they had returned their Mac mini to the brand, precisely because of this problem, and the replacement product had the same problem with the Bluetooth connection.

For the moment, the Cupertino company has not publicly acknowledged the problem, but it is very likely that the Apple brand's engineers are already working on the problem.
