A rumor for the iPhone 16 Pro is confirmed

The Korean newspaperTHE ELECToday brings us credible information regarding the iPhone 16 range. An innovative feature, which only benefits the iPhone 15 Pro Max at the moment, could be extended to the iPhone 16 Pro.

Rumors are already starting to circulate everywhere regarding the new range of Apple phones. This is inevitable for Apple, which, as usual, does not change its strategy and does not reveal any information outside of its Keynotes. But obviously, she doesn't have control over everything and it regularly happens thatinfo is leaking from its supply chains.

This is thanks in particular to informants like Ming-Chi Kuo or Mark Gurman, who generally spoil us with analyzes which most of the time turn out to be accurate, many months before each Apple release. What usually happens is that rumors are first spread by unreliable or little-known sources, before being supported by reliable informants. But the pom-pom is when a solid source spreads a rumor and it is then supported by others of the same caliber.

This is what we are faced with today withTHE ELECwhich supports the claims previously propagated by Ming-Chi Kuo, according to which the iPhone 16 Pro will feature thesame zoom as the 15 Pro Max. This is the tetraprism periscope lens.

This seems to be confirmed thanks in particular to orders from Apple for this type of lens, which have increased significantly according to THE ELEC.

Why wasn't the iPhone 15 Pro eligible?

Aswe had already mentioned it here, the reason why the 15 Pro was not equipped with the same module comes from a purely technical reason. The tetraprism lens is too big to suit it. So, rumors are circulating that'iPhone 16 Pro could be bigger with a 6.3-inch screen, compared to 6.1 currently for the 15 Pro. As a reminder, tetraprism periscope technology reflects light four times before reaching the objective. This allows you to obtain an image of exceptional quality despite a longer zoom range as well as a wider viewing angle.
