iPhone 16 Pro: Ming-Chi Kuo predicts 2 “major” changes

While Apple has just released the new iPhone 15, it didn't take long for regular tipsters to spread new rumors about Apple's next smartphones.

Ming-Chi Kuo cameconfirm his previous statementsin the new report on Medium. In the latter, as usual, he analyzed and made several forecasts concerning Apple's sales. Ming-Chi also talked about a feature that the iPhone 16 Pro should benefit from, and which is reserved for the 15 Pro Max.

The tetraprism module also for the next Pro models

Currently, one of the characteristics that differentiates the iPhone 15 Pro Max from the 15 Pro isthe tetraprism periscope lens. This revolutionary technology allows for a longer optical zoom and a wider viewing angle, while maintaining good image quality.

To achieve such a result, it is normally necessary to use a larger lens, as on conventional cameras. But this is of course impossible for a phone. This is why Apple integrated this technology into the Pro Max which reflects light four times before hitting the lens.

The iPhone 15 is too small

The problem with the tetraprism periscope module is that it takes up more space than a normal lens. And this is apparently the reason why Apple would not have integrated it into the Pro models. Gold according to Ming-Chi Kuothe iPhone 16 Pro should be equipped with it, and this would therefore imply that it is larger.

Some rumors claim thatthe latter should have a 6.3-inch screen, while that of the 15 Pro is only 6.1 inches. For comparison, the 15 Pro Max benefits from a 6.7-inch screen.

Pro Max sales forecasts

According to the analyst, the most expensive smartphone sold by Apple should shatter the scores and should sell twice as much in 2024. Enough to delight Apple's tetraprism module suppliers, who are at full production capacity given the demand for the Pro Max is high.
