iPhone 16: a promising material to put an end to overheating?

When the new iPhone 15 line was released, users quicklycomplained about an overheating problem with their device. A major problem which was resolved by Apple via a software update.

This solution is not necessarily very satisfactory, so much so that the Cupertino company is looking for new options for the iPhone 16. In any case, this is what insider Kosutami reveals in a new publication on X.

A hardware solution in sight?

The latter explains as follows:

Apple is actively working on the graphene thermal system of the iPhone 16 series to solve the previously existing heating problem. For the same reason, the Pro series battery should have a metal shell.

As our colleagues rightly point outd’AppleInsider, graphene has the advantage of having a thermal conductivity ten times greater than that of copper, which makes it an excellent candidate for combating the risks of overheating.

In any case, and this smartphone is not equipped with a fan, the Apple brand's teams are forced to rack their brains to find a solution. Of course, as always in such cases, you should take this information with a grain of salt.

Kosutami has certainly provided precise information in the past, notably concerning the USB-C components of the iPhone 15. But he is of course not infallible, and he has also been wrong.

In any case, things are already accelerating with regard to the iPhone 16. For example, this Wednesday we talked about the developments planned by Samsungon the screenwhich he manufactures for the Cupertino company. Equipped with OLED technology, the latter would be more energy efficient thanks to the replacement of blue fluorescent materials with blue phosphorescence.
