The global mobile show has
opened its doors today in Barcelona. Apple did not do the
travel but it is often an opportunity for competition to
present the new products. It is also an opportunity to
discover new technologies which, you never know, may one day
arrive in our pockets.
A quick overview of the first day in Barcelona:
As its name suggests, this show saw, on its first day, flourish
announcements of new mobile products.Here are the most notable
:
- Nokiaannounces an onboard smartphonean APN with
41 megapixels…but which ran under Symbian. THE
Pure viewshould be able to take nice photos. Besides this, the
brand also plans to launch an entry-level smartphone running
Windows Phone: the Lumia 610. Nokia is also oriented around services under
Windows phone by offeringa GPS (Nokia drive) which should cover more
of 500 citiesetan iBook equivalentcalled Nokia

- Samsung also made headlines today and presented the
Galaxy S wifi, sort of iPod touch and its 4.2 screen but above all
a
tablet: the Galaxy Note 10.1 seen here in detail. Here is a
novelty which shows thatSamsung visibly seems to be moving towards
navigation with a stylus rather than a finger.Note, Samsung also has
presented asmartphone with a picoprojector. __
- On his sideHTC brought out the heavy artillery with the ONE x.
A smartphone with a 4.7 inch HD screen, a quad core processor that supports
also NFC and offers 32GB of memory.A competition beast.
Besides that HTC also presented the ONE S and ONE V, more models
modest all under Android. Finally HTC seems to want to respond to Apple and its
iCloud with an offer in partnership with Dropbox.
- Asus, among its new products, brought the Padphone: a machine
surprising. It's actually a classic smartphone that you can
insert into an accessory to immediately transform it into a tablet. Better than

- Finally, Sony unveiled a range of Smartphones with an identical design but with
different screen sizes. The Xperia S, P and U
Whatever happens and like every year, the shadow of Apple hangs over the
living room andtwo trends seem to emerge:
- the first isincreasing screen size
which almost systematically always exceeds 4 inches.
- the second is the entry-level smartphone. Like Nokia or
d’HTC,manufacturers offer entry telephones for
rangewho have everything or almost all of the smartphone.
