An application letter from Steve Jobs sold at auction

Update of March 25, 201: the letter was sold yesterday for 162,000 pounds sterling, or approximately €188,00, much more than other documents of the same type signed by Steve Jobs already sold in the past.

Becoming the owner of this relic will not be given to everyone, however. Indeed, the last piece of the same kind, another application letter from Steve Jobs, went up for auctionup to €145,000 a few years ago.

In this case, it is therefore a sheet of paper which was obviously filled out by Steve Jobs in 1973, before the man was hired at Atari in 1974 and co-founded Apple in 1976.

Remember that the former boss of the Californian firm was born in 1955. He was therefore 18 years old when he completed this form. In particular, we can read in the document that at the time, his interests were already revealing: design engineering and electronic technologies. In terms of skills highlighted, the young man relied on his knowledge of computers and calculators.

Unfortunately, it is difficult to glean more information from this collector's item, given that it is only half filled. We also apparently don't know which company it was intended for. Still, 3 years later, at just 21 years old, he created the Apple brand with his friend Steve Wozniak.

This letter of application was in any case put up for auction on February 24 for a period of one month. On March 24, the auction will close and the highest bidder could collect the item.

At the time of publication of this article, the highest bid stands at 15,000 pounds sterling, or approximately17 300 euros. We can still say that it is currently cheaper thanthe most expensive Mac Pro.
