Twitter user iHacktu Pro in a recent tweet revealed, based on his sources, the date of Apple's next two events. The special iPhone back-to-school keynote would take place, online only, on September 8, 2020,as detailed earlier this morning in our columns.
A few weeks later, a second important event should take place, this time dedicated to iPad Pros and Macs, but not only.
A new keynote on October 27, 2020?
Here's what Apple's keynote history for October shows:
- 2014: October 16
- 2016: October 27
- 2018: October 30
These keynotes following the September presentation therefore generally take place at the end of October. They are not systematic. For example, there were none in 2019. And usually, they are dedicated to announcements of new Macs or iPads.
This year therefore, and in line with the previous presentations in October, a keynote could well take place at the end of the month,on October 27 precisely according to the source.
iPad Pro, Mac Silicon, et Apple Glass ?
iHacktu Pro therefore sees Apple present, as part of this autumn conference, new iPad Pros, but also the first Macs with Silicon architecture. Two laptop models should precisely be revealed, a MacBook and a 13″ MacBook Pro,as also announced by renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
Finally, augmented reality glasses could also be highlighted as part of the event, but on one condition: the keynote must take place in public and in real life, which is not yet guaranteed. Indeed, like the September keynote and that of WWDC, this October presentation could also take place online only. In this case, Apple would wait until the next time and the return to a classic amphitheater keynote format to reveal itsApple Glass.
Note that iHacktu Pro is generally quite accurate in its predictions. All the same, it would seem surprising to us if Apple unveils a new range of iPad Pro at the end of 2020, while the last generation dates from March 2020. Rarely in the history of Apple, two generations of iPad have followed each other. same year. This was the case in 2012 with the 3rd generation iPad, released in March, and the 4th generation iPad, released in October.
We would therefore rather see the announcement of a new iPad, 8th generation and10.8 inches possibly, for the October conference. So, the September one would not talk about tablets in this case.
