Apple is clearly not slow to find new content for its streaming platform. The Cupertino company has just achieved two great achievements by recovering the rights toSheepdogsetBananas. The opportunity for us to tell you more about these two projects.
Sheepdogs
Apple Studios paid a seven-figure sum for the rights to this adaptation of Elliot Ackerman's novel Sheepdongs. This is a series which will be produced by Playtone which counts as partners Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman, already working on the seriesMasters of the Air.
Elliot Ackerman is a former Marine Corps special operations team leader whose books touch on this universe. According toDeadline, the story will revolve around two elite paramilitary soldiers who will have to manage very dangerous missions.
Bananas
While it was struggling with other streaming platforms, Apple TV+ also managed to regain the rights to the seriesBananas. This creation will have Oscar Isaac and Ana de Armas in the main roles. These are two figures of Hollywood cinema in recent years, who have notably shone in the Star Wars and John Wick sagas. This duo will also serve as producers. David O. Russell (American Bluff) will ensure its implementation.
The plot has not been revealed, but according to sourcesDeadline, the term Bananas would refer to the banana republics, these very politically and economically unstable Central American countries.
