Apple Vision Pro: with this tip, it becomes lighter and less imposing

Many Internet users had fun removing the light seal from their new Apple headphones. This followed a publication onReddit, suggesting recent owners of the Vision Pro to carry it in this configuration mode. According to the feedback, this brings some advantages in certain situations.

A more intense feeling of immersion

Removing the light seal between the helmet and the user's face saves a few centimeters of vision, thus offering a much wider field of vision. The feeling of immersion in this configuration mode is therefore further increased. Obviously, due to the removal of a component of the device, it also becomes lighter.

On[X],Scott Steinstates in this regard:

I tried this crazy thing because everyone was talking about it here. I don’t recommend using Vision Pro without a light seal…but try it. Hold it and look and perch on the nose. The lenses were close to my eyelashes but the field of vision widens and the environment blends in, and it looks like glasses.

Apple doesn't recommend it either

The Apple company of course does not recommend using the headset in this way, quite the contrary. The light seal is aptly named since it blocks light from entering the helmet. This allows the user to stay more focused on the content displayed by the Vision Pro. If using the headset in this way is more “mixed reality” in passthrough mode, which is the mode where the user sees the real world via the cameras,in a mode that requires total immersion, however, this is of no interest.

We also do not know if this impacts for good or bad, or not at all, the eye fatigue caused by the basic headset.
