When Ashton Kutcher prepared for the role of Steve Jobs in the filmjOBS(2013), he therefore decided to follow the same diet as the man who died in 2011. Except that everything did not go as planned, so much so that the actor had to be hospitalized for two days.
At the time, he said: “My pancreas was completely out of whack. It was terrifying, knowing what happened". As a reminder, Jobs himself died of pancreatic cancer against which he fought for eight years.
During the recent interview, Kutcher returned to the matter by stating: “I was studying his eating habits and behaviors and was told he drank a lot of carrot juice[…]Two weeks before filming started, I had back pain. During the night, the situation deteriorated more and more. I ended up in the hospital on the maximum dose of Dilaudid[a pain medication, Editor’s note]My pancreas was going crazy. I was starting to panic, like, 'Oh my God, I've become Steve Jobs.' He died of a[pancreatic cancer, Editor’s note]. The ghost of Steve Jobs was taking over. I was freaking out". Following this episode, the actor declared that he was logically no longer going to follow this diet.
Let us also remember that Steve Jobs refused to have a tumor removed when its existence was discovered by doctors. He first tried to treat it by drinking large quantities of carrot juice.
