Apple is about to unveilhis new Mac miniwithin a few days, at the same time asM4 Macs. The most compact of its desktop computers will be entitled to abig renovation, from the outside to the inside. A redesigned design
The Mac minigets its first major overhaul since 2010. Thinner than ever, it retains its elegant aluminum casing while adopting dimensions close to those of the Apple TV, with a slightly higher height. According to the development teams, it would be similar to “an iPad Pro in a small box". Such a format will make it ideal for small offices or for use as a secondary workstation.
The power of the M4 chip
Like the entire new range, the Mini will have the luxury of embarking in its chassisthe famous M4. Engraved in 3 Nm,it can handle 38 trillion operations per second without flinching(38,000 billion). The M4 is therefore perfectly designed for gaming; it integrates a 10-core GPU; and for artificial intelligence thanks to its Neural Engine. In addition, it consumes much less energy than the M2.
Generous connectivity
The device will have five USB-C ports, including two placed on the front, like the Mac Studio. Several of them should be Thunderbolt 4 compatible, therefore guaranteeing exceptional transfer speeds. The versions equipped with the M4 Pro chip could, however, be the only ones to benefit from all five ports.

No more debates about the insufficiency of 8 GB of RAM:Apple should finally equip its Mac mini with 16 GB of RAM. A minimum to work in decent conditions these days, especially for the most demanding applications. Video editing software, photo editing, 3D modeling, the Mac Mini will make short work of it.
Artificial intelligence at the heart of the system
The release of macOS Sequoia 15.1 at the end of October will bring the first featuresd’Apple Intelligencefor the M4.
