New-York Post: J. Iovine hunts future iTunes exclusives

This is a major acquisition made by
Apple this year with the acquisition of the company Beats, known for its
Dr Dre audio accessories and his music streaming service. Therequestion of interest
of Apple for society
, 3 billion dollars all the same, remained posed
during formalization.

Since then, the least we can say is that Apple has remained very discreet
on his intentions. The integration of the streaming service into iOS was discussed
and we saw highlightsmore aggressive
Beats products at Apple
eta repatriation of
online sales at Apple
. But nothing really striking
until then.

Today, it is an indiscretion reported by
Le New-York Post
which tells us a little more about Jimmy Iovine, one of the
two founders, now Apple employees:

Known for his multiple connections in the field of music, he
would be in charge ofprepare the arrival of exclusive content on
iTunes
.

The idea, again according to the NYP, would be to replicate the success of the album
iTunes “Beyoncé by Beyoncé” offered by Apple at the end of last year. This one
was released without any prior publicity, and sold only on iTunes.
Sales were there.

We can also cite earlier in 2013, the release of "Where Are We Now" in
exclusive to iTunes, it was David Bowie's first single after 10
ans d’absence.

Among the artists linked to Beats whether through the promotion of headphones
in their music videos or for their close ties with J. Iovine, we find Nicki
Minaj, Will.i.am, Pharrell Williams, Kanye West or Gwen Stefani.

We won't be surprised if an album, or two... arrive exclusively
on iTunes in 2015. Let's wish them a warmer reception thanthat granted to
