Apple also celebrates Black Friday… in its own way (Updated)

Black Friday will take place on Friday November 29. This tradition from across the Atlantic and which takes place every year on the last Friday in November is generally synonymous with very attractive discounts on many tech products. Apple has often answered the call, like many of its competitors and like various third-party resellers, with special offers available during the sales day.

But let's not get carried away. The Apple firm will not offer an iPad at half price or a free iPhone with the purchase of a Mac Pro. We are a long way from these imaginary offers, as the Californian company announced recently on its website.

You should actually expect to be able to take advantage of software and applications at reduced prices on the iOS and macOS App Store, thanks to gift certificates received with any purchase of an Apple product.

The Californian firm has indeed announced that it will offer up to 200 euros of iTunes credit when purchasing one of its products. This special event lasts from Friday, November 29 to Monday, December 2, i.e. from Black Friday to Cyber ​​Monday, the other day of significant end-of-year discounts.

But be careful, the amount of the gift certificate depends on the purchase made. Thus, an iPhone buyer will not benefit from the same credit offered as a Mac Pro buyer. We can use what Apple offered last year for Black Friday to imagine what amounts could be credited this time:

  • 200 euros: for the purchase of a Mac
  • 100 euros: for the purchase of an iPad
  • 50 euros: for the purchase of a recent iPhone
  • 50 euros: for the purchase of a recent Apple Watch Series
  • 50 euros: for the purchase of Beats headphones
  • 50 euros: for the purchase of a HomePod
  • 25 euros: for the purchase of an Apple TV (valid for both models)

For AirPods buyers, we can imagine that they will be rewarded with a credit of 50 euros.

Remember that iTunes/App Store credit can be used to purchase iOS applications, but also macOS, or to rent films on iTunes, buy music or even eBooks and TV series. It can also be used to pay for a Netflix or Spotify subscription, provided you have subscribed to the service via the iOS app.
