For a successful design, Apple invents a technique to hide the components

You won't learn anything if I tell you
say that Apple attaches the greatest importance to the design of its products. It is
indeed part of its success.

Each Apple product is worked from every angle so that it
can be as beautiful as it is functional. The apple firm is therefore not
all ready to sacrifice design to add new components.

This is confirmed by this patent which describesa system
allowing visible components to be hidden when not in view
used
:

The components referred to in this patent are different. It may be
from the camera or even the proximity sensor or even a reader
fingerprints.

For it to be used, these components must be visible and
This is what currently causes the little black circles on our iPhones.
Thanks to the process described in this patent, the aesthetics could be
improved.

Indeed, the system would be able to temporarily hide a component
which is not necessary. When the user chooses to activate a
function, the required component could thus come out of its hiding place.

To achieve its goals, Apple plans to use a technology of
liquid crystals called PDLC which could quickly pass from the state
opaque to transparent state thanks to an electrode when launching an app
For example.

Another interesting idea from the patent is to use an OLED screen
transparent behind which certain components could appear
example to unlock the iPhone.

Obviously, a patent remains a patent and nothing indicates that Apple
use this on our iPhones one day, but…why not?
