The history bug in Apple Maps is already fixed

You probably haven't missed the news if you are a daily regular at our columns: iOS has just been updated toversion 15.5, with a host of changes including better child protection, an additional setting in Apple Podcasts and the final launch of Universal Control. Unfortunately, alongside these many advantages, there also seems to have been a particularly annoying problem for users of the native Maps app. Previously calledWallet(this is still its name in the United States),the payment platform would no longer display the purchases madewith Apple Card or Apple Pay. A major incident, since it directly affects the finances of some.

Which devices are affected?

Several testimonies have been published to this effect. Not only on social networks with Reddit in mind, as often, but also via the Apple support forum. The brand therefore had all the cards in hand to become aware of this quite quickly.

Although an earlier version has also been mentioned, it is therefore mainly mobiles running iOS 15.5 which are affected. For the most recent models, we are talking here about theiPhone 13and its three other variations andiPhone SEthird generation. Added to this are also the four iPhone 12s, all the iPhone 11s andseveral other mobiles, the list of which can be found right here.

Solution

Good news if you're concerned though: Apple has already fixed the bug. In any case, this is what the company states on the page dedicated to the status of its services, also explaining that the incident only lastedless than three days. It is not yet known how many customers have been affected, but the banks have not come forward.

If you don't see any corrective action, don't worry: its deployment may be gradual. Just make sure your iPhone is connected to the web, and everything should be back to normal shortly.
