It sometimes happens
that we must opt for radical methods. This is how we
found in the settings to press the famous button
'Reset'.
On the iPhone as on the iPad, it is even possible to reset
selectively by choosing only the settings or all of the
data. When you choose to reset the settings, you do not expect
not for anything to be erased, much less oniCloud Drive.
Yet,it seems that a bug deletes documents in the Cloud
when you press 'reset settings':
It is the Macrumors site which reports the phenomenon. Multiple users
would therefore have decided to reset the settings. As expected, nothing happened
deleted on the machine in question. However, when they turned to
iCloud, they had the unpleasant surprise of seeing that all their documents
iWork were gone. And likeiCloud does not have
basket…
This very annoying bug seems to only affect app documents
Pages, Keynote et Numbers. Other files stored in iCloud
Drive appear unaffected.
You have been warned if you ever need to reset the settings of a
of your machines in the coming days, be sure to keep a copy of your
documents onto a real hard drive.
