NOW
that the first beta version ofiOS
8is in the hands of the developers, the question that is on all
lips when will the next one arrive?
As usual, during
the conference of June 2, Apple remained quite vague on the release date
of iOS 8. All we know is that the new operating system of
our iPhone and iPad will be available in the fall. But when?
To try to answer these questions,we had fun
make some small calculations based on previous years, here are the
results:
To hope to obtain the most accurate estimates possible we are
amused to calculate how many days have passed between two beta versions
since the arrival of iPhone OS 2 until iOS 7.1. Secondly, we
We calculated an average per version to then estimate the launch day
of each of the beta versions. It's all grouped together in this graph:
Of course, it's Apple who decides and the dates are just
estimates, but it must be admitted that this gives a good idea.
According to our calculations, iOS 8 Beta 2 should arrive next week. At
beta thread, the GM version, that is to say the last one before the release, should
be put online on September 15, a date around which we can think of seeing
arrive the iPhone 6.For iOS 8, you will have to wait approximately until the 26th
September.
Based on previous years, here are the dates
estimated:
- Beta 2: June 16
- Beta 3: July 3
- Beta 4: July 25
- Beta 5: August 14
- Beta 6: August 30
- GM: September 15
- iOS 8: September 26
Of course, this is only an estimate and nothing says that Apple will act,
this year, like previous years, but in the meantime, what
do you think?
