“Incredible” games are coming to Vision Pro, for “ease”

Resolution Games, the developer of Game Room, a suite of games available on visionOS, answered questions from our colleagues atiMore. He explains in particular that designing a title for the Vision Pro, Apple's mixed reality headset, is characterized by “ease of use” solutions put in place to do this by Cupertino. The company released its mount on February 2, but studios large and small had access to an Xcode update to adapt their platforms to augmented reality last summer. The device's operating system was presented in the presence of numerous journalists in June, during the Worldwide Developer Conference usual for this period.

The helmet remains difficult to access to the general public

With its entry price of 3,499 euros (without prescription glasses), Apple's mixed reality headset nevertheless remains too expensive for many users. What's more, it is currently only possible to afford the device by residing in the United States. Outside of Uncle Sam, however, we suppose that the product could have an expiration date.released by June. The Europe of twenty-seven should then be among the first markets to be entitled to it, but this obviously remains to be confirmed.

Alternatives to the Vision Pro are available for a few hundred euros from the competition, such as with Meta's mixed reality headsets. The parent company of Facebook and WhatsApp, for example, offers Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest Pro to everyone, and this time it is possible to obtain the articles even if you live in mainland France or on the rest of the Old Continent. On the augmented reality side only, we can also cite the case of devices from the xReal brand, or even those fromthese connected glasses which cost around ten times less than the Vision Pro, what's more with a completely open source operating system.

Playing on an Apple Vision Pro: what does it mean?

Apple's mixed reality headset can becontrolled in several ways. However, it should be noted thatno controlleris not delivered in the box. Apple thus prefers that we control the interface with our hands, with our eyes thanks to the tracking of the latter by dedicated sensors or even by voice with the voice assistantSiri. As for the most demanding, they can also connect their Bluetooth controller via the eponymous technology, natively compatible with the Vision Pro. This is also what remains recommended for working with headphones and a wireless keyboard, given that typing “in the air” is not really easy to maintain over time.

Among the other titles found on the Vision Pro, we can also include Spatial Stacking, Checkmate Chronicles (another chess game), Duck Clicker and Spatial Jumpper or even Kattam and LOG.This pagelists other apps of the kind, unfortunately we do not find the excellent Tilt Brush from Google. The latter is therefore only compatible with headsets from Microsoft, Oculus, Valve, HTC or Sony.
