We recently learned that the company ByteDance, which publishes the TikTok app, couldsoon launch a music streaming platformwithin a few weeks. It seems that Bytedance does not want to stop there. The companywould prepare his own smartphone.
In any case, this is what the American newspaper “Financial Times” reports. He cites two sources according to which ByteDance plans tocreate your own smartphone, maybe only in China.
This is a fairly common way in China to grow its user base, by pre-installing applications on smartphones purchased by Chinese users.
After several years of rapid growth, it has slowed down recently, “forcing” ByteDance to consider new acquisition channels to grow its user base.
ByteDance will, however, face fierce local competition in China, with many manufacturers offering affordable models.
