Late, when will the new iPhone 15s finally be released?

• This would delay the release of the devices by almost a month
• The iPhone 15 Pro Max may not arrive until October 6 or 13

The iPhone 15 Pro Max, oriPhone 15 Ultra according to some, could be late and not arrive until October! This is what an analyst relayed by our colleagues from9to5Mac, pretty well informed about it, in general. This delay would be due to a major subcontractor, Sony. The company, responsible for supplying the back photo sensor, would not be ready in time for the September launch. However, it is on this date that the other models are expected, namely the “classic” iPhone 15, the iPhone 15 Plus and the iPhone 15 Pro.

This is not the first time that Apple mobiles have been late. Indeed, with the coronavirus pandemic, we remember that the iPhone 12 mini and the iPhone 12 Pro Max also only arrived in October.

A much better camera

In all likelihood, the iPhone 15 Pro Max would be entitled to a specific photo sensor with a “periscope” lens. This would allow for a better zoom, unavailable on the 6.1-inch iPhone 15 Pro.

Ultimately, we think that the 6.1-inch iPhone 16 Pro will also be entitled to this advantage, but this remains to be verified. Just like all the rumors shared here, in fact. Indeed: the manufacturer remains very discreet about updates to its products, before their officialization. It would therefore be risky to base any investment thesis on such indices.

Arrival in store

If the Apple keynote which will present the iPhone 15 is indeedscheduled for September 12, the pre-order could begin on Friday the 15th for an in-store release on Friday the 22nd. But to this, we would therefore have to add no less than three to four weeks for the best model in the range. The iPhone 15 Pro Max may therefore not be available before October 6 or 13.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max should feature a large screen of around 6.7 inches, with USB-C charging for the first time. We do not yet know the different colors expected, but Gorilla Glass will undoubtedly cover the front in order to protect it against impacts. iOS 17 will be installed automatically, the operating system offering new features such as NameDrop or sharing passwords with the Safari browser.
