Apple event in October? Apple Tag, MacBook Pro, iPad Pro and other expected announcements

After a busy September for Apple with the release of the new iPhone and Apple Watch, the year is not over yet, and Apple could hold another event in October, during which several new products are expected, here are them.

Although the iPhone back-to-school keynote is a tradition, an October event is not. But according to several rumors, Apple has new products planned by the end of the year, and Apple has already organized events in October. This was the case last year, with the announcement of the new iPad Pros featuring significant changes.

Apple's object tracker, many traces of which were found in the iOS 13 beta, was expected for the iPhone keynote, but ultimately it was not revealed, so it could be that it is coming to an end of his nose at the next Apple event.

As a reminder, this new product would be an object tracking accessory, similar to the “Tile” type Bluetooth trackers already available on the market. And similarly, Apple's solution would allow you to attach this little spy to your iCloud account.

Such a product and its Bluetooth connection would offer the possibility of finding an object lost in nature such as a wallet, bag, bicycle, key ring or other that does not have an internet connection, as soon as an iPhone or other product Apple passes close to the latter.

According to an image found in the iOS 13 code, it would be possible to use augmented reality to find lost objects equipped with this famous tracker. It appears that iOS 13 would also add a virtual “leash” between an Apple tracker and an iOS or watchOS device, in order to warn the user when the tag moves out of range of an iPhone or a Apple Watch.

iPad Pro

A year ago, Apple unveiled new iPad Pros with significant changes, with a new design, facial recognition, a USB-C port, but also a new Apple Pencil.

We are therefore not expecting a big update this year, but according to several rumors, Apple would add the triple photo sensor of the iPhone 11 Pro to the next iPad Pro. Even though the iPad Pro is not the first device used to take photos, it would improve augmented reality experiences.

In addition, adding the triple photo sensor of the iPhone Pro to the iPad Pro makes a certain sense and allows Apple to unify its “Pro” devices with the same components. It is also very likely that the next iPad Pros will feature an A13X chip, an improved version of that found in the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro.

MacBook Pro

Another potential customer for an event in October is the new 16-inch MacBook Pro which has been mentioned numerous times by different sources.

This is a model that would offer a 16-inch screen, but with the size of a 15-inch MacBook Pro, thanks to a screen with thinner borders. Moreover, this model would probably replace the 15-inch in the MacBook Pro range when it becomes available.

Another expected and important change for this MacBook Pro, it would be the first to abandon the problematic butterfly keyboard to return to a more reliable and durable scissor keyboard. The price could start around 3000 dollars.

Mac Pro

The new Mac Pro unveiled at WWDC 2019 is a bit like the ultra-powerful and modular computer expected by many image professionals at the end of the year.

Apple announced at WWDC 2019 that it would be released this fall. It would be accompanied by a new screen designed by Apple, the Pro Display XDR. The last day of fall is December 20, so Apple still has some time to deliver on its promises.

Others: Apple TV+, Apple TV, HomePod

The Apple TV+ video service will be available to users on November 1, which is a month from now, so there is a possibility that Apple will reveal new information or content for their future service.

A new Apple TV with more efficient components and perhaps an A12X chip to broadcast 4K HDR, could also be in the mix. A cheaper and less powerful version of the HomePod has been mentioned several times.

If Apple is planning a new event in October, we should have news soon via invitations sent to the press. There is also always the possibility that Apple will replace an event with a simple press release, this has already been the case in the past.
