Gathering Storm, the new Civilization 6 expansion is available (updated)

The Gathering Storm expansion for Civilization 6 has already been available on PC since February 2019. This is the second expansion for this excellent turn-based strategy game, after Rise and Fall,recently available on iOS.

Natural disasters and global warming

Always imagining good ideas to enrich the Civilization games, the developers of the latest opus did not have to look far to find new features to offer players with the Gathering Storm expansion.

This introduces the concept ofnatural disasters. Thus, the player and his civilization will have to resist volcanic eruptions, storms, floods, or even droughts, among others.

To deal with these uncontrollable events, new constructions and technologies will have to be unlocked. In particular, it will be possible to build dams, dikes or even canals, solar power plants and wind turbines.

Because in addition to classic natural disasters, the player will also have to deal with global warming, involving in particular an increase in water levels and changes in the layout of resources.

Even richer, even more captivating

Another big new feature in the expansion is the era of the future. This will integrate hidden technologies to be discovered after the information age, which until then was the last era attainable in the game.

Diplomacy is also deeper, with the reintroduction of Diplomatic Victory.

Finally, new leaders are to be played, while new buildings, resources, wonders and units are also included.

The Gathering Storm expansion is now available in Civilization VI on iOS. It is accessible via an in-game purchase in Civilization, for 43.99 euros.

And on the occasion of the release of this new content, the game and the previous extension benefit from promotional prices. Thus, Civilization VI is currently priced at 5.49 euros, while the first Rise and Fall expansion only costs 16.99 euros, for a limited time.
