Last week,both
leaders of the football game have released their opus stamped 2012.I have already introduced you
in detail Fifaand today is the opportunity to make the comparison
between the two rivals. What about playability or maneuverability, what are
new products on both sides, it's high time to put on your crampons
and come join us in the field to give you your opinion.
This year will you be
FIFAor
PES?
Before even talking about the game itself, the comparison begins on
l’Appstore. If FIFA is available in two versions
one on iPhone for €4.99et
one on iPad for €6.99.
PES is offered for free.
Don't rejoice too quickly because Konami, the publisher of PES, has decided to
upgrade to Freemium. Basically from the launch of the app we offer you
Proceed to checkout to access the full version which will cost you €4.99.
Without taking out your wallet you can only play the first
half-time of a Real Madrid / FC Barcelona which risks leaving you on your
hunger.
On the other hand, PES is a universal app which is not the case for
FIFA
What's new for 2012
- On the PES side the main novelty is in the “mode
SuperChallenge »which simply allows you tocreate your
dream team. Via an “in the cloud” server you will be able to
even download and compete against your friends' dream teams. Apart from that nothing
back under the stadium spotlights… - For Fifa, two big new features. The first is
the appearanceof a career mode(who said finally) who you
will allow you to take charge of a team and lead it to the top. As
usually in this game mode it is the entire club that will have to be managed in
taking care to spare the susceptibilities of the board of directors. The second big novelty is
locatedin terms of player controlbut we
will talk again a little further down.
Game Modes
- In PES, several game modes are available including many
obviously the Super challengewhich I spoke to you about. It is like this
possible to have a quick match but also to compete for the Champion's
League or the Europa League with real teams and real names. Of the
championships and in particular the league are always on the program for our
greatest happiness.
- At FIFA, I told you, career mode makes its
apparitionbut unfortunately he is very alone next to the party mode
fast. Impossible to compete for any cup and that's good
Shame. If you want to play in the championship, it's career or nothing.
Damage.
What about multiplayer then?
- Once is not customary, let's start with FIFA. If you only have your
iPhone, on the multiplayer side you will quickly be fixed, you will need
be satisfied with the AI even if a friend comes to join you with his iPhone. By
against, if you purchased the versioniPadand that this same
friends are coming to join you again so you will not be disappointed.
By connecting two iPhones
equipped with this application to an iPad via bluetooth, your iPhone
will become a controller and the iPad a “simple” screen. Your three
iDevice will thus reproduce a real luxury living room console, I
grant it.What a shame that it is impossible to do this only with
an iPhone and an iPad.
- At PES, no technical prowess but classic multiplayer over wifi
or bluetooth which will allow you to face your friends provided that they too
have purchased the PES 2012 license.
On the ground
- After my long ramblings it is time to take a look
on the ground. Like I told youin this post, THE
FIFA's new commands are actually very impressive. I did
few matches this weekend and the movements are extremely precise which
allows you to build real actions. Shooting feints, technical gestures,
passes, lobs everything is possible for a truly gaming experience
excellent.
- Compared to FIFA, PES seems very bland in terms of gameplay. The trajectories are
rectilinear and movements managed a lot but then much less
finely. Even if the game and its little arcade side leave an impression
generally pleasant, it is not easy to move from FIFA to PES and on this point,
we must admit that FIFA is far ahead this year.
To conclude
This yearIt wouldn't take much for FIFA to win the
hands down match. However, the absence of cutting mode, and the fact of
being able to use the iPad with only one controller darkens something
little bit of the table. Other than that, the game is excellent and promises long hours
dribbling, shooting pass, feinting and “pulling back” for game enthusiasts
foot.If you are lucky enough to be able to combine two iPhones and an iPad
you will not regret it because the experience promises to be pure and simple
gigantic.
PES, although correct, is much less convincing in my opinion. THE
Cup and Champion's League fans will find what they are looking for there, but it is
true gameplay and sensation side, the game gives me an impression of stiffness.
The advantage is that you can judge for yourself since the demo is free.
The game also takes up 10 times less space since it occupies 100 MB
against 1GB for Fifa
PES 2012 is therefore available in a universal freemium version for free on
l’Appstore
FIFA 2012 is available for €4.99 in iPhone version
FIFA 2012 is available for €6.99 in iPad version
