Update May 18: it's effective, Orange and Sosh customers
can now use their mobile plan in Europe as in France, without
additional costs linked to roaming charges. More details at the end

Next June 15 is
thedate
planned for the end of roaming charges in Europe. This means that at
from that date, a subscriber to a French mobile operator will be able to
use their package throughout Europe at the same price as if they did it in
France. No more so-called “roaming” costs during travel and vacations. We
has seen operators prepare for this recently with various special offers
Europe. But Orange decided to bring forward the date on its own initiative and for its
own packages, as well as those of its subsidiary Sosh.
In fact, the historic operator announced on its packages page

Orange will benefit from these advantages allowing them to use their package in
throughout Europe, under the same conditions as in mainland France.
Thus, on this date, calls, SMS, MMS and mobile internet made in
outside France in European countries, will be deducted in the classic way from the
package, at no special extra cost, including in Switzerland and Andorra.
The transition to this new pricing will be done automatically for everyone
customers.

This implementation of tariffs without roaming is certified for customers
Orange, but nothing was yet guaranteed for Sosh customers at the start
afternoon. The mention Sosh having been indicated on the page initially,
before being subsequently removed, as shown in this cache capture

May 18 update: Sosh and Orange customers have
normally received an email stating that from this day on they can
use their mobile plan in Europe as in France, without any fees
roaming. It is therefore indeed effective today, May 18!
Attention, small subtleties exist however:
Libon is no longer included in the €19.99 and €24.99/month plans from
06/19. Thus, it will no longer be possible to call to Europe, the USA and
Canada without going through the additional option box. Also, logically, the
€24.99 package no longer offers 5GB/year of mobile internet in Europe, because
Customers can now use their 40GB/month there.
