a year since Free arrived on the mobile telephony market in
France and the least we can say is that the arrival of the 4th operator in
transformed the mobility landscape in France!
By announcing its two packages
during his conference, Xavier Niel has turned a page and his competitors who
for some had (a little) anticipated the arrival and never stopped reacting

In an interview with Le Figaro, the CEO of Free looks back on this year
eventful which was in fact only the beginning of a change which
will continue in 2013:
In
an interview given to Le Figaro, Xavier Niel affirms: “We could have
do better". Indeed, even if Free has moved things forward, the year
did not go off without a hitch. We remember
network problemsat the beginning or even stilllaunch
complicated iPhone 5at the operator who will have taken several weeks to
deliver to its customers.
Despite everything, the CEO of Free says he is proud to "have created jobs and made
a great service to the most deprived by lowering prices." However, he regrets
"Not having succeeded in convincing the French that a subsidized mobile costs,
ultimately, more expensive than a mobile purchased bare, without
subscription."
Claiming that the attacks made him even stronger Xavier Niel counts
continue what he has started in mobile telephony by
2013.
