A 7-inch LCD screen to reduce costs

According to information obtained by DigiTimes, Apple is banking ona 7-inch LCD screen supplied by the Chinese manufacturer Tianma. A strategic choice which will allow the firm to maintain a competitive price, since these tiles would only cost 10 dollars per unit.

This 7-inch diagonal is slightly higher than the 6 inches initially mentioned by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg. This confirms that Apple wants to offer a comfortable visual experience while controlling production costs.

Attractive technical characteristics

DigiTimesalso confirms the presence of the A18 chipat the controls of this new HomePod. This powerful configuration will be supported byApple Intelligenceto deliver seamless voice and visual interactions.
