After havingcrossed here many videos on the
topic a few years ago, we had lost the habit of seeing
robots driven by iPhone and iPod touch, but Maxime,
one of our readers sent us a video of his simple but
very effective.
little The robot is controlled by light sequences displayed on the screen of a
iPod touch.
Roll youth let's go for an iRobot video demo:
Technically this is how the system works: two sensors
brightness placed on the iPod touch screen allow you to control the robot
depending on the brightness according to a very simple coding.
- white white: advance
- black black: stop
- black white: left
- white black: right
Two webapps are used for transmitting information:
- The first, the remote control, sends the color code into a base
given. - The second, acting as a receiver, will look for the color code in
the database.
Hat !
And if you like machines of all kinds (cars, helicopters, etc.)
remote controlled by iPhonebut you don't have the talent
of Maxime's handyman, you can find:
- ofmany "iPhone toys" that we talked about in our
articles recently - and someare available
in the dedicated section of our virtual store.
