The mobile iCade makes your iPhone a real portable console

Our colleagues from the US engadget site had
the chance to have in handthe iCade
iON mobile presented at the last CES in January
.

A variation of the famous mini arcade machine for iPad, theiCade
mobile offers to transform your iPhone into a real game console
portable
.

Has the bet paid off?

According to engadget, the first observation when using the iCade
mobile is that the accessory is relatively heavy. It works with 2
AA batteries which weigh down the whole thing a little more.

The iPhone is inserted into a rubber case which can turn on
itself and allow you to play in landscape or portrait mode depending on the
needs of the game. The case does not really fit the iPhone however, if we
according to the tester, it is unlikely that the iPhone will be able to end up
terre.

The mobile iCade will then connect via Bluetooth with your iPhone. Side
look, the mobile iCade reminds me a little of my Game Gear, for those who have experienced
this Sega console, which would be crossed with a PSP. Unlike iCade
original, the manufacturer apparently did not focus on the design.

As for games now, we can't say that the list is long. According to
engadget, synchronization with the iPhone seems a bit complex, but a
once this chore is over, everything works perfectly and the game is very
more precise than with a finger.

Finally, the buttons and the d-pad in particular seem to be of quality
very average.

In short, even if it is functional, this mobile ICade does not have the charm of
the original iCade for the iPad. Nevertheless, it does, but it will take
wait until more games are compatible. The mobile iCade
currently costs $80
and is only available in the US.
