Ikea confirms: we will be able to try furniture at home with the augmented reality of iOS 11

available here on the App Store, already offers reality features
augmented allowing you to place 3D furniture in your house as a superimposition,
as
seen here. It is therefore logical for the Nordic giant to want to take advantage of
next possibilities in this area offered by Apple with
ARKit. Thanks to these new technologies of iOS 11 linked to
AR, it will in fact be possible with the iPhone or iPad to offer
new realistic experiences, as seen on stage during the presentation of
WWDC in early June. And Ikea announced that it was preparing an app taking advantage of these
new features for the release of iOS 11 in the fall:

digital at Ikea, which revealed the arrival of a new Ikea app rich in
possibilities of augmented reality.

The app will therefore classically allow you to place a piece of furniture from the catalog
or an object in a room of his house. This will take place in real time with
realism, particularly in terms of lighting effects and proportions.

500 to 600 items will initially be offered in this catalog
of a new genre, including many new items, accessories and decorations
notably.

Other developers must have been on board with augmented reality with
this ARKit, Lego was for example announced as a special partner of Apple at this
subject.
