An iPad Pro-style iMac could be announced on June 22

In a few days theWorldwide Developer Conference. This event, which is normally organized with several thousand guests in San Francisco, brings together journalists and developers from around the world to discover the latest improvements to Apple's operating systems. But the hardware aspect of Apple's products is also discussed: last year, for example, the Pro Display XDR screen was launched at the same time as the most powerful central unit of the same brand, the Mac Pro. But if this machine is too expensive for the majority of private users, fortunately there are more affordable models.

Starting with theiMac, which uses the same codes (macOS, desktop computer, price of several thousand euros) with the difference that this time a panel completes the device, to which are attached the components dedicated to performance such as the processor and the RAM.If the CPU has every chance of being based on an ARM architecture soon, the rest should however not see much change, except perhaps the design as assured by a previously unpublished rumor…

New iMac incoming at WWDC. iPad Pro design language, with Pro Display like bezels. T2 chip, AMD Navi GPU, and no more fusion drive

Feeling like déjà vu

For the moment, this assertion remains a hypothesis. It is in fact taken from a tweet from Sonny Dickson, a YouTuber with 3,000 subscribers who also runs a more general tech blog. This specifies that the next generation of the iMac would adoptmuch narrower bordersthat currently, inspired bythe iPad Pro, the fourth edition of which was released a few weeks ago. Inside, we would of course findthe T2 chip which guarantees greater security, as well as a GPU manufactured by AMD, a benchmark in the field. But no more Fusion Drive.

Difficult at the moment to know more, especially since this is only a question ofsuppositionsthe source of which remains unknown. On the other hand, we can count on a nomenclatureiMac Pro, given that the first and only version of this range dates from 2017 while the classic iMacs were already renewed last year.
