Update: many problems reported with this application – The “Interprete” iPhone app translates your words

May be important: several comments mention
problems with the application.
During our tests it worked, but in doubt in the face of
comments, better to avoid the application it seems

You regularly go abroad but fear the barrier of
language especially when it has to be spoken.

Well, the applicationInterpreter(available
here on the App Store
) could well be of great service to you since it
All you have to do is dictate a text so that the app translates it and then
pronounce it in the chosen language.

Let's now take a closer look at this rather practical application for
travelers:

The application is quite easy to use. You will first need
select the language to translate (left column) and the language in
which it will be translated (right column).

Then you just have to press the microphone, wait for "recording"
be written to then dictate your text, without any limit of
temps.

This first part is particularly to the point since it uses
the voice recognition algorithmNuancealready known
onDragon Dictation(available
here on the App Store
) and used by Apple toSiri.

Then the app translates your text and will interpret your words to
out loud, saving you from having to pronounce the text yourself. Nothing
then prevents you from reversing the translation so you can understand the
response that your interlocutors may give you.

Of course, a WIFI or 3G connection is required, which is often expensive to
abroad, but it is also the only way for the app to understand and
translate your words.

What do you think? Could this app help you during your
voyages ?
