The first public beta of iOS 13.2 is available: Deep Fusion, AirPods 3, HomePod and Siri

In parallel with the first beta of iOS 13.2 for developers, Apple has just released the first public beta for iOS 13.2, which includes quite a few important changes. This is available to participants in the public beta program. We explain to youin this tutorial article, how to install the public beta and precautions to take.

This new version of iOS integrates theDeep Fusion for iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro, an automatic image enhancement technology, the functioning and limitations of which we have explainedin this article.

This first public beta of iOS 13.2 also includes several other new features, here is the list:

• Announce messages with Siri: The function allowing Siri to announce and read incoming messages (when AirPods are connected) has been re-enabled in iOS 13.2. It can be activated by going to Settings > Siri and search > Announce Messages. Note that this only works with AirPods 2 or PowerBeats Pro equipped with the H1 chip.

• New “Search” option in Settings: In Settings > Privacy, there is a new option for Apple's future Research application which allows you to do health studies. This new option suggests that the app could arrive with iOS 13.2.

• AirPlay & Handoff: The AirPlay and Handoff sections become a single section in Settings > General, which is called AirPlay & Handoff. Apple has also added a new option which allows you to transfer content (music or other) to the HomePod, and another allowing you to deactivate the automatic use of AirPlay on televisions.

• AirPods 3: Apple added a new image in the iOS 13.2 beta that shows in-ear headphones with active noise reduction. This could be the next generation of AirPods, which Apple could unveil at an upcoming event. Maybe in Octoberalong with other announcements?

• Control center: When AirPods, Beats Pro, BeatsX or other Beats headphones are connected to the iPhone or iPad, the volume bar will display the appropriate icon.

• HomeKit: a new option allows you to group or ungroup accessories that offer several functionalities. It is then possible to display a single thumbnail or several of them.
