Last week, we informed you that Apple hadincreased the limit on downloadsof applications in 4G, at 200 MB. This is enough for many apps, but not for many games which can sometimes weigh several GB.
With iOS 13, Apple gives users the possibility to dojump this limitand ofdownload any app in 4G, whatever its size. But what about small packages? Everything is planned!
Now under iOS 13, when a user wants to download a 4G app that exceeds 200 MB, awarning windowis displayed with the total download size. This asks the user if they want to continue downloading and ignore the limit.
The user also has the choice to postpone the download until later, when he is connectedto a WiFi network, so as not to encroach on or exhaust your data plan.
Better yet, this is configurable!
In the iOS 13 settings, the user can choose whether this warning window is always displayed, or only if the size of the app exceeds 200 MB, or never, to always allow the download of any app in 4G.
