It often happens that certain Apple executives respond to emails from users, Steve Jobs did it from time to time, the same for Craig Federighi, the vice-president and head of the software part of Apple.
A user sent an email about the call interface which takes up the entire screen when he receives a call. He asked if it would be possible for the call interface to be less intrusive, like the new volume indicator in iOS 13.
This user notably mentions the possibility of displaying incoming calls in the form of banners, which would appear at the top of the screen, like app notifications.
Craig Federighi replied that he received many emails on this subject, and that this would not change with iOS 13. He also confirmed to this user that they are thinking about it for a future version of iOS, perhaps iOS 14.
Currently, when a user receives a call, it abruptly leaves the app they were in. Which is annoying if a user is gaming or performing another important task.
How about a banner for incoming calls?
