tvOS 15.2 and HomePodOS 15.2 (beta)
While the final version of tvOS 15.1 is now available, Apple is already on to the next one. To install tvOS 15.2, developers can go to Xcode and download the appropriate profile. A bug has notably been resolved here on the SwiftUI side.
The HomePod operating system is also upgraded to 15.2 only for developers.
iOS 15.2 and iPadOS 15.2: new features in beta
To find out how to install a new version of iOS, it's right here. As it is a developer beta today, you will need to have joined the associated program beforehand.
- App Privacy Report: to know how many times each app accesses data such as your geolocation, photos, camera, microphone and contacts during the last seven days. Also specifies which apps are transmitting to other domains and when this last happened. To access it, you have to go toSettings > Privacy > Privacy Report.
- Emergency call: a user can now press the power button located on the edge of the iPhone several times in a row and quickly to alert emergency services. Also works with a long press on this button and the volume button at the same time. Practical in the event of an attack, with eight seconds passing before communication starts compared to three previously. Perhaps following thefalse positives reported by emergency services.
- Summary of notifications: revisited design (see below)
- Security: Messages containing sexually explicit images would soon be reported to children and their parents. To do this,Apple relies on machine learning. Code relating to this functionality was found in iOS 15.2 but it seems that we will have to wait even longer to be eligible for it.
- App Store: corrections de bugs
- SwiftUI: corrections de bugs
Apparently nothing new apart from technical problem resolutions. We will otherwise update this article if a change is spotted by beta testers.
