How to update your iOS/iPadOS device to version 15
It is not very complicated to update your iOS or iPadOS device, whether the procedure is done wirelessly (OTA) or via macOS. However, no one is safe from problems during the operation. This is why we must always think aboutbackup the device before installing a new OS. We therefore advise you to make a backup of your iPhone or iPad via iCloud or through iTunes,as explained here.
Once ready for installation, two solutions are possible:OTA(wireless) orvia wired connection to a Mac.

iOS 15 update OTA
To update OTA:
- go toSettings
- chooseGeneral
- ThenSoftware update
The update should appear on this page. Then click onInstaller.
iOS 15 update via macOS
To update via a Mac computer, you must:
- connect your iPhone or iPad to the computer on which macOS is installed
- click on the corresponding iPhone or iPad icon that appears in the Finder
- to clickGeneralin the top bar
- then chooseCheck for updates
- finally, doTo update
In both cases, patience is required. It is common for Apple's servers to be heavily used in the first hours following the availability of the update.
