iOS 15: a bug causes CarPlay to crash

Since the second half of September,iOS 15is available. The new operating system offers very welcome features such as Live Text which is capable of extracting text from any image taken with the iPhone. A practical new feature for retrieving a telephone number, an email address, or even a Wi-FI code.

However, and as often happens, some users report bugs following the arrival of this new OS. Thus, customers who combine its use with that of the new iPhone 13 have noted that this causes CarPlay to crash, as soon as they try to listen to music, whether with Apple Music or third-party apps such as Spotify.

Faced with the problem, system D organizes itself

A reader of online media MacRumors explains:

I updated my iPhone 11 to iOS 15, drove to the store no problem with Carplay. There, I activated my new iPhone 13 mini (and deactivated the 11) and now Carplay doesn't work. When trying to listen to music it crashes and doesn't come back. I've turned the phone off and on several times, reset the stereo/display, tried a new cable, nothing works. Now I drive in silence, and it's terrible.

Other testimonies along the same lines were expressed on Twitter. However, some users have found that resetting the network settings on iPhone can provide a solution. Others have noted thatdeactivating the equalizeron Apple Music may fix the problem.

For the moment, Apple has not reacted publicly. However, we can imagine that their technical teams are mobilized and will soon provide a solution. For your part, have you been affected by this bug?
