At the end of 2022, Apple is offering a new update for iOS 16 which goes to 16.2. This new version of the iPhone OS comes in a complete update bundle, including iPadOS 16.1 for iPad, watchOS 9.2 for Apple Watch, tvOS 16.2 for Apple TV and macOS 13.1 Ventura for Mac.

If you followed us throughout the testing phase of iOS 16.2 which began on October 25, you know that the software comes withnice new things. We have continued to describe and dissect them to you in our columns for weeks, as they arrived in the various system test publications. To see things more clearly, let’s return to thethe most important new features that Apple offers us on iPhone, iPad, but also Apple Watch and Apple TV.
Freeform
Apple doesn't launch a new application every month, that's why the arrival ofFreeformis an event. This is a new in-house application that the Californian firm presented to us during the WWDC 2022 conference. It wants to revolutionize note-taking and is part of a trend seeing more and more applications appear with the idea to change the way we create documents on mobile and PC.
To put it simply, in Freeform you face a large white sheet in which you can insert different contents, text, drawings, video, PDF, etc., with agreat freedom. Furthermore, thecollaborative work is appropriate.
Freeform is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and also Mac.
Improved Live Activities widgets
Since iOS 16, it is possible to personalize your locked screen,as seen here in detail. Many widgets can be added to the top of the screen. The bottom of the screen has since the start been reserved fornotifications and Live Activities. Since iOS 16.1, this allows you to display automatically updated information dependent on certain applications. Thus, you can find football match scores, tracking the delivery of your current order on Uber Eats, the route for a trip with navigation assistance, etc. With iOS 16.2, users will be able to fine-tune the refresh rate of these widgetsLive Activities.

iCloud end-to-end encryption
Before iOS 16.2, not all iCloud data was end-to-end encrypted. This was also one of the reasons why Apple was widely criticized when it came to protecting private data. But in parallel with the deployment of iOS 16.2, iCloud has acquired a newend-to-end encryption levelfor thenotes, THEphotosor even themessagesand theApple ID. With this, it becomes very complex for anyone who intercepts iCloud data to read it.Which is not necessarily to everyone's taste… Namely: end-to-end encryptionwill be optional. Health widgets on the lock screen

Wi-Fi calls at Free mobile

Good for watchOS 9.2 and tvOS 16.2
iPhone and iPad are receiving the most notable new features at the end of the year with new updates to their respective OS. As for Apple Watch and Apple TV, it's a little more frugal. Please note the following two changes to try as soon as you update to watchOS 9.2 and/or tvOS 16.2:
- watchOS 9.2 :Race Route is the main new feature on Apple Watch. This is a new feature allowing you to launch challenge racing sessions against yourself or your contacts, all on defined routes.
