Apple is expected to present iOS 17 on June 5. The new version of its operating system for iPhone will offer several changes and new applications. According to the latest rumors, the apple brand should notably present a new service, called “Journal” allowing you to write down your most intimate thoughts.
In addition to creating something new, Apple should focus on what already works and improve its native solutions. According to the Twitter account @Analyst941, very active in recent weeks,Apple Planswould be one of the applications concerned. The service would be entitled to a new interface when it is displayed on the lock screen.
This change would allow users to have a better view of the route to follow, without being disturbed by third-party notifications. Apple would also highlight navigation information, more than the map itself. The arrows at the top of the screen would be the big winners from this change.
Finally, still on Twitter @Analyst941 explains that it will be possible to “reduce” the size of the map as is already possible with music streaming applications (which offer album covers in large size on the lock screen).
iOS 17: what to expect?
It's always difficult to predict Apple's updates accurately. Unlike future iPhones or iPads, iOS updates do not have physical prototype versions to help analysts with their deductions. The latter must then trust their sources and take risks.
If the information is a little less reliable than for a physical product, it is still possible to draw conclusions from the announcements made in recent weeks. iOS 17 should therefore allow users to benefit from a more “stable” version of iOS 16.
