Apple has just presented the 5th beta version of iOS 18. You can now install it on your compatible iPhone. Be careful though, these beta versions are not as stable as general public updates and may contain bugs. As a reminder, iOS 18 was presented during the WWDC opening conference by Tim Cook's teams. The general public version will be available during the month of September, a few days after the release of the new iPhone 16.
The newsiOS 18 betabrings many new features. As presented during the WWDC opening conference, the “Photos” application. The carousel which had caused a lot of ink to flow in recent weeks has simply disappeared. It is one of the major changes announced by Apple within this iconic iPhone application.
The other big change, which has just arrived with this new beta, is the presence of the“distraction control”integrated intoSafari. This feature allows you to hide certain elements of a web page such as invasive advertisements. Available from the application settings, this “distraction control” allows you to block “static” elements.
iPadOS and WatchOS: what’s new?
In addition to the new iOS 18 beta, Apple also released the latest versions of iPadOS and WatchOS this week. Both operating systems received an update. As for tablets, the changes are very similar to those that arrived on the iPhone.
For Apple Watches, the update includes very few changes. This is surely one of the last versions of the update before the general public deployment ofWatchOS 11.
