The countdown is on. The apple brand is expected to present on June 10, during its WWDC opening conference,iOS 18. The update, announced as “one of the most important in Apple history »by specialist Mark Gurman, should give pride of place to artificial intelligence.
In a new report, published by journalist Marko Zivkovic, the latter explains that this year's improvements will largely be focused on Siri, Spotlight, Messages and Safari. Zickovic adds that Siri should be the iPhone option that will be most transformed by the arrival of artificial intelligence.
Safari and Siri: the big winners
Among the features that should arrive this summer, the Safari and Siri applications would be capable ofgenerate a summaryof an article in all its forms. Artificial intelligence could do this on a web page as well as for a document. Messages could even be affected by this option.
At the same time, it would be possible tosearch for a specific passagein an article or an email. Still according to information from Marko Zivkovic, this functionality should run locally on the iPhone. Using the device alone is a real challenge for Apple.
The firm, a great defender of confidentiality, does not want to circulate user data in the cloud. All uses of AI that can therefore be processed internally, locally on the iPhone, will be. Only requests that are too energy intensive will require going through the cloud.
Spotlight: invisible changes
