Apple delivers an evolution every year
major part of its mobile OS for iPhone and iPad. The latest, iOS 8 has
brought many visible or less obvious functionalities, which
are expressed with the arrival
third-party applications. But at the same time,iOS 8 also brought its
lot de bugs, an increase in the size of updates and for
certain machines,impacts on the
performances.
According to the sources of the site 9to5Mac, Apple has decided to deal with these
different points thanks to the next evolution of iOS. Thereversion iOS 9which should be presentedin
Juneat the annual developer conference (WWDC 2015) would be
SOless ambitious in terms of new products, but rich in
optimizations and fixes.
While we wait for the versioniOS 8.2 for weeks to
come, with the Apple Watch, Apple engineers are already at work
on version 9. This was seenin the logs of certain applications at the end
January.
The focus this year would therefore not be on new products.
functional (we hope for a few all the same!), but on the
invisible OS improvements. The emphasis would thus be placed on the
corrections de bugs, on thestability of
system(and indirectly applications, widgets, keyboards and
extensions we imagine) and on theimprovement of
performances.
And the efforts are perhaps already visible! We indeed remember
of asupposed benchmark of iPhone 6 under iOS 9Whoshowed
actually improved performance.
It's not mentioned in the rumors today, but we hope
also, for developers, that Apple will make a special effort to
fix some bugs in APIs and other functions
offered. This would be beneficial for them in times of development and
thus indirectly for us app users.
