The Magic Mouse is an iconic Apple product. Marketed by Apple in 2009, the mouse has since been updated several times. The latest version was released in 2022. But all these Magic Mouse have the same defect. In fact, they work wirelessly and are recharged using a port under the mouse.
In other words, it is simply impossible to make it workla Magic Mousewhile the latter is in charge. This design concern, which Apple does not seem to want to resolve, has amused the internet for years. The Magic Mouse is thus at the heart of manymemeand other techie jokes.
A USB-C Magic Mouse
But Ivan Kuleshov was fed up with the way the Magic Mouse worked. In a post on social networks (see below), he explains how he managed to moveApple mouse charging portto make the latter usable when it is charging. With this version 2.0 of the mouse, it can be recharged via USB-C from the back, making it much easier to use when the mouse is charging.

This new design of the Magic Mouse may not please Jony Ive and the Cupertino teams. The mouse has gained a few centimeters in thickness and it seems more massive than ever. We are a long way from the sleek, feather-like design of the Magic Mouse imagined in 2009.
Apple, true to itself, seems to have chosen design over ease of use. Placing a charging port under the mouse allows it to be hidden, giving a unique shape to the object, without the slightest small hole. But these specifications are not really compatible with a computer mouse. Use while charging is a necessity for millions of people, and the Cupertino company has sat on it.
