The machine was unveiled on October 15, 2024 via press release. It replaces the iPad mini 6 of 2021, with a more modern CPU (SoC A17 Pro), notably supporting Apple Intelligence, and Apple Pencil Pro compatibility. For the rest of the technical sheet, nothing very notable can be added, the iPad mini 7 looks exactly like the iPad mini 6.
