iOS and macOS in beta versions: revelations on future iMac and iPad

Inthe latest beta 5 version of iOS 14.5, references were found to anew model of mobile chip. Specifically, the software source code contains mentions of a graphics processor named13G, which would be associated, according to information from 9to5Mac and the code names of previous Apple Ax mobile chips, with the next SoCA14X. The latter would also be based on a component codenamed T8103 and which we would already know since it is already implemented in the Apple M1 processor on Mac.

The Apple A14X mobile chip would then be on papercapable of delivering computing power similar to the desktop Apple M1 chip, if we trust this information.

Remember that several iPad models are expected soon, two new Pro models, a large and medium format, and a new 9th generation iPad. We imagine that the Apple A14X chip would bereserved for the iPad Pro rangegiven the positioning at the top of the range of Apple tablets.

Moreover, iOS 14.5 beta 5 reveals the code names of 4 new iPad Pros: J517, J518, J522, and J523. One more confirmation, therefore, in favor of the upcoming arrival, probably at the same time as the final version of iOS 14.5, of anew generation of iPad Pro. J517 and J518 could match the 11-inch model, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellalar. The other two numbers would therefore correspond to the 12.9-inch model, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellalar.

On the macOS side, in the 5 beta of version 11.3, we can find mentions of two new compatible iMac models: iMac21.2 and iMac21.1, codenamed J456 and J457. These are Macs that do not yet exist on the market. Presumably, these references support the hypothesis of an imminent refresh of the iMac range, with the upcoming appearance of new 21.5-inch and 27-inch models. These could display anew design, while they would integratewithout much doubt an Apple silicon chip.
