New iPhone 11 and 11 Pro: what are the first impressions?

It was on the upper floor of the Steve Jobs Theater that the first copies of the new iPhone 11 made their debut, in the hands of the invited pressat the last Apple keynote. This Tuesday, September 10, the few invited journalists were able to get a first impression of the new products from the apple brand.

The result of these first comments is a general impetus to express the great similarity of smartphones with their predecessors. For most journalists, the new iPhone 11 would be almost identical to the previous iPhone Xr, and the new iPhone 11 Pro would also look like the previous iPhone Xs. At least in appearance. Some design changes though

Each of the three new smartphones has the same dimensions as its predecessor. The new 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max are slightly heavier: to compare, the new 11 Pro Max weighs 226 g, when the old Xs Max weighed 208 g.

Another difference: the new matte glass panel placed on the back of the new iPhone 11 Pro would be less slippery and allow better grip. Furthermore, journalists fromApple Insiderstill prefer to encourage future customers to equip themselves with a protective case (especially for scratches).

The big new feature of the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro: the camera

Despite a design very similar to the iPhonetheir new photo module. On the program, two sensors for the iPhone 11 replacing the Xr, and three for the 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max.

The new modules include a night mode which should finally allow Apple to face competition from Android – notably from Google with the Pixel 3. While waiting to confirm some promises from Apple

We can't wait to get to grips with this new range of iPhones. It must be said that for the moment, the quick briefings by journalists at the end of the keynote have not yet made it possible to verify several points promised by Apple, such as the increase in autonomy by one hour for the 'iPhone 11 and four for the iPhone 11 Pro.
