Among the most reliable sources regarding upcoming Apple products are analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and journalist Mark Gurman of Bloomberg with predictions almost always verified.
The latter has just published a very large report on Bloomberg, which concerns all of Apple's next products, starting with the next iPhone, iPad, a new cheaper HomePod, third generation AirPods and new MacBooks.
Apple will unveil three new iPhones, with Pro models that will succeed the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, and another model that will be the successor to the iPhone XR. THE3D Touch will disappearof the next models, replaced by Haptic Touch (present on the iPhone XR), it involves a prolonged press, followed by haptic feedback.
They will integrate aFace ID enhanced or multi-anglewith a larger field of vision, facilitating facial recognition in several scenarios, for example when the iPhone is placed flat on a table.
The two “Pro” iPhones would have a triple photo sensor with a very wide angle lens. The three lenses will each capture a photo simultaneously in order to combine them and produce a photo where, thanks to artificial intelligence, it will be possible to make automatic and instantaneous corrections. For example, if a person is accidentally cut off in a group photo.
Bloomberg also mentions an improvement in photo definition, which would rival some cameras. Low-light photos would also be better with upcoming models.
The video part of the next iPhones will also improve, with new video features. Apple has notably developed a new functionality allowing you to retouch, apply effects, modify the colorimetry, and crop, allin real time while recording video.
Bloomberg also confirms the arrival of a second photo sensor on the successor to the iPhone XR. This new lens would allow x2 optical zoom, and improved portrait mode. There would also be a new green color for this model.
Apple would also have greatly improved the water resistance of the next models, to be able to withstand even more prolonged immersion than current models. The new models would also have a glass againmore resistant to breakage.
The next iPhones would have a more powerful A13 chip, which would be equipped with an “AMX” or “matrix” coprocessor. The latter would perform certain computationally intensive tasks, which could help for certain uses linked to augmented reality or even new video capabilities.
Otherwise Bloomberg also confirms several known elements, such as bilateral charging to recharge AirPods and an Apple Watch (or another phone) by placing it on the back of the new iPhones. 5G would not be present in the next iPhones, but rather the 2020 models.
iPad
According to Bloomberg, Apple will release two new iPad Pros in 11 and 12.9 inches, which would mainly have a better camera and a more powerful chip. The design would remain the same as that of the iPad Pro 2018.
Apple will also replace the entry-level iPad 2018 in its catalog with a new 10.2-inch model, so we would say goodbye to the 9.7-inch screen that has existed since the very first iPad.
Apple Watch, AirPods et HomePod
The Apple Watch Series 5 would receive a very minor update, as there were big changes last year with the Series 4 and its larger screen. There would mainly be a new ceramic case and another in titanium.
Apple is working on third-generation AirPods, which would be more expensive than the current model and would be released next year. These next AirPods would have water resistance and a noise reduction system.
A new cheaper and less powerful HomePod is in the works, it should be released early next year. It seems that the current model is not selling very well, in particular because of its high price compared to the competition.
Mac
Bloomberg ends its report on the arrival of a new 16-inch MacBook Pro with thinner edges and which would be similar in size to the 15-inch MacBook Pro. Apple will launch its new Mac Pro and a 32-inch XDR Pro display by the end of the year.
